To create a WYSPR account you must first ensure you have an Instagram business account associated with a Facebook page.

If you’re are unsure of how to do this, fear not, for we've got you covered. This article will walk you through the necessary steps to successfully switch your Instagram account to a business account and then how to connect a Facebook page to your new business account - all in just a few seconds!

The detailed steps

How do I switch to an Instagram business account?

1. Open the Instagram app
2. Navigate to the ‘Menu’ from your profile page  
3. Choose ‘Settings’ and then ‘Account’  
4. Click on ‘Switch to a professional account’
5. Progress through the screens until you’re presented with a choice between Creator & Business
6. Choose ‘Business’

If you already have a Professional Creator account, just follow the first two steps and click on ‘Change account type’ and then choose to ‘Switch to a business account’.

Connecting a Facebook page

1. After choosing ‘Business’ as your creator type you’ll next be presented with a screen that prompts you to connect your Facebook account
2. Choose ‘Log in to Facebook’ and enter your credentials
3. With that done you will now be presented with the ‘Connect your Facebook Page’ screen
4. You now have two options:

Create a Facebook page

If you choose "Create a Facebook page". Instagram automatically creates one for you and will give it the same name as your Instagram account.

Or, if you already have a Facebook page

Connect an existing page

When you choose this option, you can select the page from a list. Once the page is selected, press Next.

Whichever option you choose once this step is complete the remaining screens and press Finish.

Congratulations,  you now have an Instagram Business account connected to a Facebook page!

How to link your Instagram account to WYSPR?

With that out of the way, all that's left is to link your account to WYSPR!

In the WYSPR app

1. Choose 'Continue with Facebook'
2. You'll then be presented with a request to connect your Facebook account and WYSPR, sign in with your Facebook credentials to confirm the link
3. Confirm the Facebook page we associated with your Instagram business account above and click 'Continue'
4. Congrats! You've now successfully linked your Instagram business account with WYSPR and are free to create your WYSPR profile!!

Next steps

Once you have finished creating your WYSPR account you'll now have full access to the app but you will not begin to receive campaign invitations until your account is approved and you are accepted fully onto the platform.

Our acceptance criteria are fairly straightforward. You must:

• Have a UK based audience
• Achieve an average engagement rate of 8%
• Post fairly regularly

As soon as we verify your account meets these three criteria, you'll receive a notification that you have been accepted onto the platform, and campaign invitations will begin to follow.
